Founder of BioBuild Studios, Matthew Evans, has strategically crafted the ultimate reproduction kit

of Earth's most notorious apex predator seen throughout natural history: Tyrannosaurus rex

Aptly named "Teddy" in honour of Evans' favourite adopted Maine Coone cat,

this 3-D reproduction is accurately depicted based on the dimensions & data collected from the

"Tufts - Love" skull specimen; discovered in 2015 within the Hell Creek formation fossil site

of Montana, which dates back to the late Cretaceous (Maastrichtian) period. This specimen was

later described and published in 2016 and can currently be visited at the

University of Washington Burke Museum, located in Seattle-WA.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

For this personal commission added to the ACCO Natural Sciences Museum collection, Evans has provided the utmost passion & care in constructing this particular cast replica; from the design to the paint work, blending the coloration of the original UWBM-99000 specimen with that of the coloration found in the supreme and beloved local Chicago specimen FMNH PR 2081

(SUE the T.rex), Evans has graciously designed the perfect addition to our collection for which ACCO founder, Mitchell Goodknecht, is beyond thankful and appreciative.
